Can't open VMDK file with VDDK 6.5, always returns 18000

I see there was another post also returning 18000 but it didn't seem to resolve my problem. I cannot seem to get the VDDK to open a disk when using the latest version 6.5. Can anyone help?

Hi tokyo_steven, !

Host ThumbPrint is mandatory from VDDK 6.0 to connect to the ESXi/vCenter using VDDK.

You will need to pass the thumbprint to  VixDiskLib_ConnectEx call and you will need to assign it like below.

VixDiskLibConnectParams.thumbPrint = "xx:xx:xx:xx:xx......";

If you have not passed thumbprint to VixDiskLib_ConnectEx call VDDK will always throw error in OPEN only.

And while seeing your log . Noticed that  you are trying to debug with low log level 1. But to debug you will need to increase your log level to Debug mode. Then only you can get the proper logs to debug the problem easily.
