We have one vcenter 6 and 4 datacenter on it . Each cluster in different area And One distributed switch for virtual machines , One distributed switch for vmotion on vcenter
now I want to learn that what is best practives for my VMware Infrastructure. If i need to change the my design. How do I persuade the my manager . There was a problem with this VMware Infrastructure. What is the problem with this VMware Infrastructure ?
There are 4 data centers on one vcenter ( vcenter 6.0 ) All connected to one switch distributed switch . One distributed switch for virtual machines , One distributed switch for vmotion network
ha and drs is working
Hi there,
If i need to change the my design. How do I persuade the my manager
You would probably start with outlining the current design, what issues there are with it and a proposed action plan to change the design.
There was a problem with this VMware Infrastructure. What is the problem with this VMware Infrastructure ?
I'm not sure? Are you asking if there is a 'problem' with the (little) information you have provided? Or has someone else given you a report or some information to say that the infrastructure is not designed well or is unstable?
One distributed switch for virtual machines , One distributed switch for vmotion network
You don't really need two distributed switches for this. You could simply have a single distributed switch and both traffic types can traverse over a single distributed switch. You can make use of the distributed port group binding to prioritise which NICs are used for each traffic type, or use a feature such as NIOC to put reservations in place.
Cheers, Matt.
