VMWare tools version

I am running Windows 7 32-bit in a VM.  I have VMWare tools installed

however the version is wrong.. at least that's what I think. 10.0.10.3275 file date of August 25, 2016.

I am running latest Workstation 12, why is tools version 10?  Is this correct?

I tried uninstalling and reinstall the tools but it's the same regardless.

Hi,

Latest version of VMware Tools is here:

https://packages.vmware.com/tools/releases/latest/index.html

Yes it is correct that VMware Tools is at version 10.

VMware Tools is a software packages that is used for ALL VMware virtualisation products, so the version numbering is unique as all the products have their own numbering as well, eg. latest VMware vSphere is 6.5, latest VMware Fusion is 8.5 etc..
