evc mode

i have a cluster so hosts cpu are different . i checked the from VMware Compatibility Guide . it say all mode support but i selected Intel Sandy-Bridge  mode but is it true ? can i select another. what is true mode  for my cluster. is there any cpu performans problem on my VMs

Your CPU are from Haswell family, so if you're using Sandy Bridge EVC level, you're two level behind the latest level that your CPU support. You may not notice performance problems, but if all CPU are the same model, my recommendation is to upgrade your EVC level to L6 (Intel Haswell Generation), see: Enhanced vMotion Compatibility (EVC) processor support (1003212) | VMware KB

we have esxi 5.5 u2 and vcenter 5.5 u2 ?

so if i use lvy bridge then  I will have better performans . right ?
