I have a fresh install of Server 2012 R2 (also tried Server 2016 and Windows 10 64-bit) on a Proliant ML350 G6, that I intended to use as my lab.
All the latest firmware/drivers are installed and all virtualization features are turned on in the BIOS.
When I attempt to start up Workstation Pro 12.5, it crashes with VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vmui).
If I install the Hyper-V role, VMs appear to work just fine.
I've attached the crash log file and a screenshot of the error.
Please advise.
