Does storage snapshot still needed during planned migration?

Or SRM will use the underlying SAN storage technology to accomplish this?

SAN storage is being used is EMC VMAX and feature that being used is timefinder snap and clone.

Which of the features is more important for SRM?

Yes - seems to create this as a recovery position if required.

I would definitely be working with EMC on this as you have a high-end array there but basically you will need SRDF and TimeFinder Snap at a minimum.
