vCenter replacement

Hi All,

I've been messing around trying to resurrect my vCenter Appliance that has crashed with the:

/dev/mapper/log_vg-log: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY

Frankly, I've tried everything I've found on here but nothing has worked.

I am therefore going to go back to a Windows vCenter.

Is it relatively painless to remove the reliance on one dead vCenter and add to another - I presume so?

TIA
M

Assuming you're not using vDS, just shutdown your old crashed vCenter, deploy a new one, configure it and add the hosts to the new vCenter.
