vSphere Proxy Agent Cannot Reach Model Manager Web Service Host

Hi - I have a brand new vRA 7.1 deployment in which the iaas web and model manager are collapsed into a single VM. I'm deploying a vSphere Proxy Agent in a remote site and cannot proceed past the initial setup due to errors with reaching the model manager web service host. Two questions:

1) Any ideas on how to debug this? I can't find any logs on the vSphere Proxy side of things.

2) Any ideas of what the issue would be here?

In another browser, can you connect to https://domain_name:port_number/repository/Data/MetaModel.svc ? where domain_name is the FQDN of your web server and the port is 443

Yep, you do need to authenticate to that URL. When you run the installer, are you running the installer logged in as the service account that you have installed the IaaS web server under? Also, are you running the installer with administrator privileges? If not, can you try that please?
