Hi there,
We have 3 VMs running windows that require "read-only" to them and therefore we put their disk mode into "independent non-persistence" mode.
We understand that such disk mode does not support live migration so we turned it off for a cold migrate, but we discover that after being moved to new datastore, all those VMs had kicked activation.
We are very surprise to this outcome as there shouldn't be any major changes to the .vmx file other than the virtual disk path right? Or is there any steps we took wrong?
