Cannot Even Install!

I can't even install VMWare 8.5 on my mac with Sierra GM.

First, I mount the install DMG.

Next, I double-click on the Fusion icon to get a password entry request.  I comply and then it just disappears.

Finally, I find a VMWare Fusion app in my Applications.  When I run that, I get the following error.

That's random... something on the host is messed up, we've never seen it behave this way.

Have you tried a simple reboot?

The fact the installer disappears after typing your password means something is going wrong outside of Fusion itself.

Welcome to VMware Fusion forum.

Suggest to verify the checksum of your download DMG file first. If no checksum issue, could you please try to delete the previous Fusion app, restart your host and reinstall again.

I uninstalled by finding all 15 files related and deleting them.  Then, I reinstalled (got the same strange behavior with the installer) and it worked.
