RDM-P with Multi-writer flag sharing across ESXi servers without Physical mode of SCSI controller

Hi,

Please let me know if RDM-P with Multi-writer flag can be shared across ESXi servers without any physical mode of SCSI controller in vSphere 6.x.

I heard that this support is added in vSphere 6.x hence the query.
