Failed to copy paste from guest to host in VMW Workstation 12 Pro

Hi guys,

I'm using VMware Workstation 12 Pro in my windows 7 64 bit machine. My guest operating system is windows xp service pack 3. I tried to copy files from guest operating system to my host system. Its failed. Even failed to copy from host to guest too. I thought that file transfer might be disabled. I checked VMware setting--> options tab--> guest isolation-->drag and drop / copy and paste grey out. Can't check and uncheck the box. I've attached the image file below.

Do you have VMware Tools installed on the Windows XP VM?

Also note that if the VM is running these options are greyed-out.

Hello,

Could it be that your guest is set as a shared VM? Move it to unshared and it should enable again.
