VMWare Player Fails to start when attempting Windows X Upgrade

Hi Guys,
Oh how I made a mistake trying to get to win X. Oh well. No use crying over spilled milk.

I had a win7 desktop on which I run a win7 VM as my personal desktop so that it could be easily moved between machines.

It is an old XP VM upgraded to Win7

The instructions for win 7 to win X include uninstall vm tools.

The uninstall of vmtools did not work and the machine had to be bounced.

Now, however, the machine does not start up.

I have tried telling it there is no bluetooth and not to sue vmtools. But it still hangs.

Did anyone else suffer this same fate when trying to upgrade a win7 VM to win X?

The uninstall of vmtools seemingly not working and then the machine not starting?

You can see the messages here.

This would actually make sense out of what has been happening. I have tried many copies of the machine and the vmtools unistall fails every time.

So I think vmware player thinks the vmware tools are still there when they are partially removed.

Any and all help would be VERY much appreciated and my greatest thanks in advance...I have been at this quite some time and I really have more important things to do that win X upgrades. But I do need this machine back. It is pretty useful.

Best Regards

Peter
