Bootup stuck at Winodow logo screen.

I have a few machines that suddenly won't go beyond the Windows logo screen (Windows 2003).  Got the follow message below.  I have removed the machine from inventory and readded it with the same issue.  The VM is stored in a shared storage.  Looking for some ideas on how I can resolve this.  I am going to build a new machine and see if there is and issue.

Message from vmhost2: Install the VMware Tools

package inside this virtual machine. After the

guest operating system starts, select VM > Install

VMware Tools… and follow the instructions.

Boot it to safe mode and then disable none Microsoft service (Clean boot) and then restart the machine.

Then check its events and find the root cause. I think, this is OS issue.
