I've created an Ubuntu Server 16.04 under Workstation 12 running on Win 8.1
(remember Ubuntu servers do not have a desktop; just only a console.)
The VM uses the "vmwgfx" video driver
by default the console uses 640x480
I've checked available Grub video modes (using vbeinfo) and the highest resolution offered by the
video driver is only 1152x864 (See attached pic)
I have tried many VM monitor configurations without being able to convince Grub there was a better video mode
than 1152x864.
Any idea on how I can get a better res?
