How to get vmware-host in the guest Network?

(I am using VMware Worksation  12.1.1 build 3770994 which I believe is the latest version.

The guest operating system is Windows 10. The host operating system is also Windows 10)

I can no longer access the Z share drive on my host operating system.

Under Desktop | Network I can only see the guest operating system. It should also display 'vmware-host'.

(On my other virtual machines I do see vmware-host and they work)

This problem arose today. I note that my Windows 10 guest was updated by Microsoft yesterday (Took more than

one hour).

I note that today my Windows 10 guest was updated again (Took 40 minutes).

If I right click on Network and select 'Map Network Drive'. I see the dialog 'What Network Folder

would you like to map?'. Already filled in is Z.

But when I Browse for a Folder I am only given the choice of the guest operating system drive.

How do I get 'wmware-host' back into my Network?

Are there any other things I need to do?

Regards,
