Hello,
I created a Floating Manual Pool of Linux vm. Is there a way to have them powered up un demand Like I do in my Windows Floating pools?
It's a waste of RAM to have them always on.
Kind regards
Cristiano
Hi Cristiano,
1. It's true that Manual Pool only supports the Power Policy for whole pool
2. "x number of VM powered on", I think you means the setting "Provisioning Settings -> Desktop Pool Sizing -> Number of spare (powered on) machines", which is for Automated Pool only.
Linux Agent 7.0.1 only supports the Manual Pool, and does not support Automated Pool. Automated Pool support will be in 7.0.2, which should be coming soon (end of August)
Linux VDI supported managed vm since Horizon 7.0.1. You can have the vm powered up on demand just like Windows VDI.
Hi @lindsaly
I can't find where to set policies to tell the manual pool to have always x number of VM powered on for servicing users.
I can only set the power policy for the whole pool.

Hello @txiong
thanks for the update!
Cristiano
Hi txiong
BTW do you know if 7.0.2 will support SSO on something newer than Centos6/RH6?
Kind regards
Cristiano
Hi Cristiano,
SLED 11 SP3/SP4 will support the SSO from 7.0.2.
Other distributions' SSO is also in the road map.
