Good Day VM Guru's
I just started using ESXi 6 and I created a Windows Server 2012 VM and gave it on a VLAN and I can ping anywhere in my network. I create a CentOS 7 VM and gave it an IP on the same VLAN and I cannot even ping the Gateway, I have re-verified all my configurations and all is good. Has anyone had this issue aor know where I might find my answer.
Which NIC have you assigned to the CentOS VM - E1000, VMXNET3 etc. Certain ones will require the installation of VMware tools:
Mount the tools to the VM via the Web Client then follow:

Good Day
It has the VMXNET3 adapter assigned
VMXNET3 drivers are not natiy installed. Have you installed VMware tools and rebooted ?
No, I have no experience loading the tools on a LINUX machine, so I am trying to figure it out. Do you have a procedure for loading them?
I changed the network card to E1000 and it was detected in centOS 8. Just the dynamic one called "flexible" does not have drivers here.
installing open-vm-tools has not made it work either. e1000 does work.
