LSI Raid Degraded

Hi ! I am running 2 single ESXi hosts, both with the host client. One host is running with an LSI Megaraid 9363-4i , the other with LSI Megaraid 9341-4i.

In the view of storage devices both RAIDs are display as "Normal, Degraded". But i am sure they are running fine (verified in BIOS).

Could this be a bug of the host client ?

You may see such errors if you have a faulty battery in the RAID controller. How old are the servers?

What is the server brand/model? You can find additional diagnostics in such remote management interfaces as Dell iDRAC for example.

Hi there,

I have seen this before and we have an internal ticket open to investigate possible erroneous reporting of degraded devices. The Host Client is simply reporting the data that the underlying API is returning.
