I am using vmware update manager(VUM) to update Dell M630 ESXI 5.5 update 3. The Dell build was released 13/11/15.
The results of the VUM baseline are attached. I was surprised that some older patches from 2014 are suggested, and even complete update 2 and complete update 3. Is is standard practice to just update with whataver VUM says, or is it better to get VUM to apply patches that are after the release date of a vendor build?
If update is missing you should certainly apply it. I would just go by what Update Manager suggests and apply all patches.
Hi,
here one screenshot from me (using VC 6.x)
So for you I wouldn't update now. Looks different, doesn't it?
What version of Virtual Center do you have there?

But he wrote, he has the 5.5 update 3 already there.
The question is what the version (build nr) is really there?
