Hi All,

Recently i faced an issue in storage while i logged a complaint in vmware support

They informed me to take Host logs here i confused how to generate logs

Normally i used to go and select Host-click file-export-export system logs

But my seniors are advised this is wrong then how to do that

Hi,

You can do this with vCenter by generating the logs

https://kb.vmware.com/kb/1011641

Or you can do this in the ESXi level, using the File - Export - Export System Logs.

Then you send these logs to the VMware support(they should send you a FTP to upload this logs)

Hope this can help
