Can restoring a VM which has a NFS shared mount, cause a NFS lock which can affect by other members

Hi,

I am a newbie and came across below issues.

We have a set of VM hosts which access customer's data through a same NFS data point.

I have done a snapshot restore using vsphere client and observe a delay when accessing data in NFS mount points.

Is there any chance of a snapshot restore can cause a NFS lock or any other disturbance?

Tks,

Chaths

Restoring VM snapshot don't put any additional Lock on NFS mount point However it does increase overall IO workload on NFS storage.

I would suggest you to use dedicated NFS Mount point for ESXi instead of sharing it with some other type of shared data.
