vApp Export from one cluster to other cluster in same Vcenter

Hi All,

I have a question related to vApp movement.

We have created a vApp with 6 VMs (These are some storage applicances created from OVF template). Now these are created in a Windows Cluster.

From our Vendor end, they have done configurations for application appliances since 5 days.

Now we have realized/planned to move that 6 VMs which are in vApp folder to a Linux Cluster.

I've made sure that Network is same on the both the clusters.

we are also trying to map the same Datastores for the both Clusters.

Can anyone please suggest the easiest way to move complete set of vApp to other cluster without any database corruption.

Thanks

Hi,

The only way to move vApp between Cluster is to export to an OVF then import in the new Cluster.

Similar task: http://theithollow.com/2015/02/23/move-vapp-clusters/

Hope this can help
