I'm working on a vSphere 5.0 to 6.0 migration.
One virtual appliance that I have to keep b/c it is tied to backup files runs on Ubuntu 12.0.4, which will eventually no longer be supported by VMware.
What is a good strategy to handle something like this??
Keep it on an old vSphere host and keep this VM in its local storage??
The above is the only idea I can think of that is testable, move this VM from SAN to local storage, check if it still sees the old backups or not.
Any other ideas??
Thank you, Tom
