VMWare unrecoverable error DoubleFault src=MONITOR @...

Hi,

After booting this morning none of my Virtual Machines can be opened, all failing with the same double fault error message. I'm (almost) certain I was running VM yesterday without issues and have certainly had them up and running over the last week.

So far, I have:

- Checked the BIOS to ensure virtualization is enabled.

- Temporarily turned off AVAST.

- Disabled hardware virtualisation options in AVAST.

- Checked Windows Update ... only 1 update yesterday related to Adobe Flash.

- Switched 'puter off and back on again 😉

I am running Workstation 11.1.3 Build 3206955 on Windows 10 64-bit Build 10586.

Any suggestions or advice please ?

My problem solved by an update to NVIDEA GeForce drivers.

Absurd.

One week later, exact same problem. Booted the PC this morning and now no VM's can open.

Tried updating graphics card again and updated to Workstation 11.4.

Error identical to that in original post.

Help please.
