VCAP-DCA 550 - Not available for June 2016 and probably indefinitely for 2016?

I was trying to book the exam this June but was surprised that it is not available in my country and the rest of South East Asia. I was advised by Pearson that this was initiated by VMware and that they are not sure when the exam will be made available again. Anybody have any background info on this? I am trying to book this exam the soonest possible.

Anyone knows what is the new expiry date for the vcap 5.5 DCA? The blog post doesn't say.

But the blog post does say:

We will not plan to retire them until approximately 30 days after the VCAP6 exams become available. Once the VCAP6 exams go live in production, we will make a detailed retirement announcement for these VCAP5 exams.
