update to version 7 but version 6 showing

Hello!

I tried to update the (beautiful) ESXi UI to the latest version 7 using Help -> Update, but even though the update runs successfully the UI is still saying it's a 6.0.0 (Build 3620759) version.

I did not try to upload the fling and run the command line, one because i'm lazy but two in case you have questions / things to try to fix it through the help -> update method, since i'm in no big rush to update the working 6 version.

Thanks for reporting this issue - to help with diagnosis, can you post some content of esxupdate.log from Host -> Monitor -> logs?

So I think this may be a browser caching problem.

The log shows that you already have the VIB installed.

What browser are you using?

Hello Etienne,

sorry left for vacation then a business trip. I was running a very up-to-date Chrome and I think I had also tried emptying the cache - but I might be wrong on that.

Now just back, saw a new 8 version, tried the update, and worked straight out of the box... good like that I'd say!
