AVG blocking Vmware view connection

Had several users externally reporting unable to connect to their Desktops. (verified external access is perfectly fine.)

It seems the one thing in common so far is AVG Free. -  disable AVG free for 10 miunutes and the the desktops launch with no problem.

This was 1st reported yesterday, with several more today.

Has anyone else had the same issue?

I have tried adding exclusings into AVG for the file path of the vmware view client as well ad the URL we use to connect to.  with no luck.

Also attempted disabling firewall.

We cant be the only ones ?

Hi cH1LL1,

Are you using profile management like Persona Management or Windows Roaming Profile?

If yes, it may be the race-condition occurs between profile management and AVG.

AVG is installed in desktop side, right?

Hi h3nkY -

AVG is installed on the external users physical devices..(such as home laptop or desktop) its from these devices that they are unable to connect to VDI.

IF we simply disable AVG temporarily they will connect perfectly. - this only started 2 days ago. this is why I think its due to a patch release.. no change yet.
