We are running with vCenter 6.0 version 6.0.0 Build 2997665.

Installing Update Manager in different windows server with vCenter 6.0 U1 Installation Media.

While installing Update Manager, it's giving below error.

Error: The vcenter is incompatible with the vmware vsphere update manager you are installing.

Issue has been resolved after downloading VC setup VMware-VIMSetup-all-6.0.0-2800571.iso, which is compatible with currently running VC build version.

Hi,

the build number you posted isn't your vCenter server build number. It's the build number of the vSphere Web client.

To see the vCenter version please select the vCenter server in the hosts and cluster view of the web client and check the Version Information on the Summary tab.
