Hello,
I'm using vRA with vCloud Director and vCloud Air and I have problem with network configuration.
I noticed that vRA with default uses DHCP to assign IP addresses to provisioned machines. And now I want define specific IP address or choose any from IP range during request new vApp from Service Catalog. How can I do this and how can I showed this network configuration in Items details?
Take a look at this thread:
vRA 7 Specify IP Address on Deployment

It didn't help me. As I understood I should add properties to my vApp blueprint:
You only need custom properties if you want users to manually input the values. Otherwise just create network profiles and associate those with the appropriate networks in your vCloud Air reservation.

Hi Grant,
From few weeks ago I'm researching around vCloud Air, Network Profiles and Custom Properties by vRA 6.2.3. My experience is "Network Profiles" and "Custom Properties" to assign an IP to a vApp in vCloud Air don't work. I'm using vCloud Air Gen 2 and it's not connected L2/L3 to vRA environment. If you create a Org Network in vCloud Air (Routed or Isolated) but don't create an IP pool, the IP is not taken from the Network Profile. You get the error below:
Following errors occurred while updating network connections:
There are insufficient IP addresses to complete operation. You need to add IP addresses to the network that is associated with the object being created or deployed.
Can you confirm Network Profiles and/or Custom Properties around IP assignment are supported by vCloud Air with vRA 6.2.3?
Regards,
Jose
