Working with OVA image (UNETLAB networking Lab)

Hi all,

I am trying to manage a virtual machine that is based on Ubunto 64 bit and contains UNETLAB (Unified Networking Lab project) network environment.

First problem is that my server has not the CD/DVD and second the Ubuntu that should be the guest OS is not available as ISO image, I only have the full package as ova file.

ESxi 6 on HP Proliant Gen8.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Enrico

OVAs are supposed to be importable from the vSphere-client.
If you get problems - use 7zip for example to extract the OVA.
In both cases you neither need a CDrom nor an Ubuntu iso

Thanks for your reply Continuum.

Eventually I managed to load the machine through OVF template (File -Deploy OVF emplate) and it worked.

I decided to not install any CD/DVD device. It is something tricky for some actions but seems I can do all I need till now.
