Maintenance Schedule Policies

Hello,

We have an in-place 6.1 vrops environment that we are building out as an enterprise wide monitoring system.

We have a rolling schedule of Windows patching that we have defined maintenance windows for.

I am not finding good documentation for Custom Policies that define Scheduling.  I also do not see a way to confirm which objects are assigned to a maintenance Schedule.

Here is the best (?) practice I can gather from the documentation:

vSphere Tag -> Custom Group -> Custom Policy -> Maintenance Schedule

I can confirm that the Custom Policy I created is listed as the primary policy for the desired VM.

The policy itself is a child policy that overrides the Virtual Machine - Time Range definition.

But when I export the xml of the Policy the Schedule is not listed and the reference is <TimeSettings allHoursAndDays="true" dataRange="30"/>

If you have any experience in successfully deploying a maintenance schedule through a policy I would appreciate your experience.

This started working yesterday.  No changes to the environment or policy.

May have been kicked into gear by rebooting our vRops cluster.
