Migrating Persona directories while retaining permissions

I am attempting to upgrade VDI login time by moving persona directories to a faster storage device, but I am unable to migrate the user directories and retain their proper ownership.  Is someone who has successfully done this willing to educate me on their process?

Problem is that the way that VMware has you set up Persona, administrator does not have permissions that allow Xcopy to work.   So if you have done a move before and got xcopy to work, please explain.

There is a portion of the View GPOs that allows administrators access to the persona directories. This is also functional in 6.x.
