NSX installation

Getting ready to install latest version of NSX in a lab and need to see if can do the following:

1.  Install ESXi (6.0)

2.  Install vCenter (6.0)

Leave the standard switch installed - don't migrate to a vDS first

3.  Install NSX components

4. Migrate standard switch to NSX distributed switch

Can I do it this way or do I need to migrate from standard switch to distributed switch, then from distributed switch to NSX distributed switch?

You are ok with VDS at the very beginning you don't need to go from VSS to VDS and then to NSX LS, since migration from any of those is done in NSX panel, let's say you have a VM A connected in VDS or a VSS then you can migrate to Logical Switch or NSX Distributed Logical Switch, just take in account that VDS is a requirement for the NSX Distributed Logical Switch or Logical Switch since this LS is only a dvPortGroup created on the VDS at the moment of creation of LS automatically.

Pay attention also to physical switch MTU: it must be 1600 or higher...
