Hi all and Happy Holidays.
I am wrecking my head on this simple problem (newbie here). I am using vSphere 6 with VCSA6. I have added one host using the vSphere web client without any problem, when trying to add the second one, I get an error at the second stage: Connections Settings...
A general system error occured, with a bunch of parsing errors, see screenshot.
What could be my problem? Both host and vCenter are licensed.
Thanks.
Hi, welcome and happy holidays,
please could you post additional infos like: hostname and host version... Seems a problem about dns resolution, please check correct name resolution from vcsa and esxi host (connect to single host and enable ssh in security options). Check also correct date/time.
Hi Linotelera,
Thanks a lot for the pointers. I have checked the hostname and DNS entires and looks fine.
[root@ESXi-2:~] uname -a

Host hostname: ESXi-2
I can ping everyting with proper name resolution from both the VCSA and the host:

WHat do you suggest I do next? Do I need to restart any of of the host/vcsa? Thanks for all your input.
This is just a try: change ESXi2 hostname (seen in uname -a ) with esxi-2... What about ntp date and time?
Last thing could be restart management host services and vcsa services (check if an error is raising during restart operations).
HI Linotelera,
Thanks for all your help. Here is a log dump of the suggested changes and status of processes. With all the changes, still seeing the same problem
