Hello,
A newbie to mac but a long time windows user, so please feel free to be as technical as possible. After more than 10 years on windows, finally decided to pull the plug and switch over completely to a mac. Since I had to give away my old windows PC (running windows 10 64-bit), I used the free vcenter coverter to do a P2V conversion of my windows PC. The resultant virtual machine was created as a VMware fusion 8 compatible virtual machine.
The windows VM boots up fine on my macbook running fusion 8 pro (running El Capitan) however, the keyboard does not register in the windows VM itself. Been browsing thru the community, but haven't got any good leads.
Appreciate any quick assistance if possible
Thanks in advance!

Spot on! The old pc was a thinkpad with the full suite of think vantage drivers. Uninstalled them, and the keyboard started working perfectly in the virtual machine.
Hard to believe that google did not lead in here directly. Thanks for all the help.
Hi,
