Plan Recovery Issue

With reference to my previous post ;

the Test Recovery went successfully but Plan Recovery generating some issues. The Recovery plan is successfully running but when I am rescanning my SRA, it shows status "Failover in progress" instead "synced or completed" and after some time it shows Unknown status as per the snapshot. Please see the attached snapshot and advise;

Please, check if the virtual machine 3-Tier-Generic have some device attached on a different datastore than the datastore on the datastores on protection group Test-PG.

Ok I will check but if there are different devices then it should generate a warning message in protection group like "mapping is missing" but in protection group the virtual machine status is 'Ok'.

Yes I checked, mapping is Ok. I tell you the complete process what I did on storage side. We are using IBM storewiz v7000 storage;

1. Created Two LUNs one in Production site and other in Dr site with different names

2. Created relationship with Global Mirror and added them into consistency group

3. Prepared a vm in Production site LUN along with vmware tools installed

4. Test Recovery and cleanup operation are running successfully

5. Plan Recovery having issues. IN Array Based replication, it shows status "Unable to find a matching consistency group at the local site and remote site for the consistency group <consistency_group_name>" when click on "Run discover devices operation for the selected Array Pair"

There is a move, the SRA port 5989 was not opened from SRM server to the storage in Recovery site. Once opened the port the error message disappeared but when ran failback Recovery plan (the failover went successful and virtual machine was successfully powered-up in recovery site), it generated another error;

Failed to reverse replication for failed over devices.

Cause:

Cannot process consistency group 'test' with role 'target' when expected consistency group role 'promotedTarget'

Have you opened an SR with VMware and your array vendor? Looked through the logs for the SRA?

I had the issue

Cannot process consistency group 'test' with role 'target' when expected consistency group role 'promotedTarget'

Which happened after I ran SRM in disaster recovery mode.

I had the storage guy set the luns correctly to RW in DR and to RO in the original protected site. Then he re-enabled the replication from DR to Pro

Then it didnt work straight away but when I came back the next day and tried it again it did.
