I am having problems using 32-bit vmrun and/or Vix API on Windows to control virtual machines. vmrun.exe or vmrun.pl (from vix-perl.zip) both block, when I am trying to do some action on a running virtual machine (like stop, readVariable, ...). They also block in start just after the machine is started. This doesn't happen when using VBScript supplied example using 64-bit cscript, but happens again when using 32-bit cscript.
I am using Workstation 10.0.7 on Windows 7 x64 and I need vmrun functionality because of vagrant. Why are 32-bit version of tools like vmrun or Vix API calls blocking execution, when 64-bit Vix API calls are working perfectly at the same time?
Is there any version of 64-bit vmrun.exe to circumvent this situation?
It's not 64-bit yet in Workstation 12.0.
