Hello, i have use vcap 5.5 5.5.0.20400 Build 2442330
The first month everything worked well.
Today i'm notice that perfomance log (CPU, Memory and etc..for any objects in inventory ) if chose time stamp for day, week and further, displayed with interruptions.
VCAP use postgr database,
for logs and database i make different partition.
This behavior probably appeared after restore VCAP from full backup.
several days before as i noticed this behavior, i done cleanup log files in /storage/db/vpostgres/pg_log/ based on this guide http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=209212...
How is the performance of the VCSA running? Does it have adequate CPU and Memory to log properly? Is it running in a cluster with other VM's? Have other VM's been added since it was first deployed? Is it experiencing any co-stop or high CPU ready times?
This behavior occur for any objects (HOSTs, VMs, Cluster and etc...) and for any time stamp except real time graph, if i add new VM or Host to inventory, performance log for (CPU Metrics, Memory, Disk and etc ... will be same with interruptions)
vCAP has adequate resources, and on host where it placed hasn't been contention events for CPU,RAM,Disk.vCAP running with several VMs, who has low shared priority for CPU and MEM
Example
Do you have vROps to compare to? Any events in the logs that correlate events with times where there is data loss? Or even a lack of logging during those same timeframes?
