Hello,
i try to upgrade my ESXi Server from 5.5 to 6 with update Manager.
I get this error:
The host can't reconnect.
A manually update works fine.
Why can't i upgrade the host with update Manager?
Thanks
Dennis
what is your vCenter version? Have you upgraded it to 6.0U1 already?
Thanks
Saju
yes.
can you paste/upload the log file when the host tries to connect back to VC . The logs from /var/log/vmkernel and /var/log/hostd.log will be useful. Is there VSAn configured. What was the esx 5.5 version from where it was upgraded
The logs are in the attachment.
VSAN is not configured.
Version of ESXi was 5.5 U2 (VMware-ESXi-5.5.0-Update2-2068190-HP-5.77.3-Nov2014.iso).
Now i try the update with "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.0.0.update01-3029758.x86_64.iso".
Manually works fine only with UM is the problem.
From the screenshot, the issue occured at 13:02 on 21/09. The logs uploaded are from 2015-09-22T02:29: . I am not able to find any relevant information from the logs
The older logs will be in /var/run directory
In var/run i cant find any log files.
Only conf and pid files.
Before i uploaded the files i try manually reconnect the Server.
