Create Update Property for Virtual Machine Entity not updating VM Property

Hello,

It seems that Create Update Property for Virtual Machine Entity is not working. I have tried updating properties but it does not update the values. I am using VRA 6.2.1

Could some one please confirm if "Create Update Property for Virtual Machine Entity not updating property" is working on VRA 6.2.1. I have custom properties that I am trying to update, although the call logs on VCO shows success status, but property value does not update.

Hello,

Based on the response from VMware. Create Update Property sets the defined Custom properties.

reconfigVM_Task has to be used to set the specific OVF properties.

i use that workflow all over the place. It worked just fine in 6.2.1 and still works fine in 6.2.2.

Some properties are read only. Some get set after vRO finishes executing. What property are you trying to update?

Also make sure you're setting the "doNotUpdate" parameter to "boolean:false" the default value is true which will return success but not actually update the property.
