vSAN Question

Hey guys,

I am trying to get a better understanding of vSAN.

My current configuration is that I have two hosts with two separate datastores. They are not in a cluster.

Would vSAN help me converge the two datastores together? Or is there a way to converge the two datastores?

I do not have a SAN, currently.

Thanks in advanced.

vSAN has a lot of requirements, for example you will need at least 03 (three) hosts, take a look here for detailed requirements: VMware KB: vSphere 5.5 Virtual SAN requirements

As replied earlier there are lot of requirements . If it is only for learning then you can have one more host and then configure it to failure to tolerate to 1.  You can also create nested esxi and tag the disks as SSD.
