Hi,
I have been running the latest WS 11.1.2 for a while on the same Linux host with the same guests. No issues until I upgraded the BIOS on my laptop a few days ago. Now every time I start a guest, the "copied or moved" dialog pops up - I always select "moved" and the guest starts fine. I have verified with dmidecode that nothing presented via physical hardware is changing between reboots, so I am at a loss.
Anyone seen this issue, or know a workaround - I have never experienced this since I started using vmware years and years ago..?
Thanks in advance,
Greg
uuid.action = "keep"
in your vmx-files
would automatically answer the question.
Of course that would be just an ugly workaround - not a real fix.
Yep - my searches turned that up, but I would really just lilke it to go away
I move VMs all the time and of course it does not bother me, but I have bootup scripts that start my virtuals depending on the network I am attached to. That may be the only option to get it going quickly unfortunately..
Thanks
