Hi all,
I am using NSX 6.1.4 and have discovered an issue concerning changes to th persistence settings:
When I habe a Virtual-IP with two Virtual Servers (One for Port 80/HTTP and one for Port 443/HTTPS), the latter one terminates SSL and hands the HTTP-Requests coming in over HTTPS to the servers as plain text HTTP. In both cases the same pool is used.
Now, I can't easily switch between persistence settings because if I change the Application-Profile for HTTPS than NSX complains that the persistence-settings between the HTTP and HTTPS-Virtual server do not match (because they both use the same pool).
The workaround I found is to create a new pool configured like the original and usind that pool for eg. https and the old one for http. Then the Application Profiles can be changed independently and afterwards I can set both back to the same pool and delete the workaround pool.
Activating persistence for a big number of virtual servers becomes a tedious endavor pretty fast.
Do you have any solutions or better workarounds for that task? Thanks a lot in advance.
Cheers,
Christian
