Hi,
I can't install vmware vSphere on my Supermicro X10SLL-F, because the video output is glitched (see attachment). Even without a monitor and just using the IPMI remote console, the output is still glitched. I tried installing via a USB flash drive and tried unetbootin, rufus as well as Create a USB Flash Drive to Store the ESXi Installation Script or Upgrade Script
My boot.cfg is attached, I even tried automating the install via ks.cfg, but this didn't seem to work and since I can't see the error/screen output, it's a bit hard to get the error. boot.cfg options for auto install: kernelopt=ks=usb:/ks.cfg with ks.cfg in the usb root directory, see attached.
set gfxpayload=keep is no solution either.
I found some posts about this problem here in the forum, but no solution. Does anyone have an idea or solution for this?
Cheers and thanks!
Paul
PS: installing CentOS or Debian doesn't recreate the problem.

It works but make sure you put the usb as the first boot drive
in my case i was using two usb
1. for the bootable
2. where the vmware will be installed
i first inserted the bootable and then wait till it boots up with the 1 above then inserted the second (2).
This is how i was able to achieve success.
Hope this helps some one
