vSphere client time out due to slow connection

Hi, whenever I try to either "Deploy OVF Template" or "Create a new virtual machine", the wizard will load and after waiting a while it'd give me a dialog box with the following message.

Error

An internal error occurred in the vSphere Client.

Details:  The command has timed out as the remote server is taking too long to respond.

I am unfortunately connecting through a slow Internet connection.  Is there a time out setting I can apply somewhere to the vSphere client to alleviate this?

Then after many times of trying I was able to get past this and managed to finish the wizard.  However, in the process of creating the disk, it exited with another dialog box with the following message.

Error uploading file

http://cdn.........filename.vmdk to server.  Unable to write data to the transport connection:  An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.

Initially I thought it's an odd disconnection from the server to the Internet itself and has nothing to do with my local Internet connection.  However after trying again, same thing.  So does this also have to do with my local Internet connection (ie vSphere client is downloading the vmdk locally and then uploading to the ESXi)?
