"vsphere configuration limit"

Hello,

i tried to find some information about

"vsphere configuration limit"

and only stumbled over the options that i can

either enable or disable it in a policy.

Does anybody know what this resource container

under the analysis setting "stress" means?

Configuration limits under stress are typically checked and I recommend them. What it does is consider the vSphere maximum supported limits as metrics that represent capacity. So if you've got a 512 VM max on a host, and youre running 256 VMs, you'd be using 50% workload of the config max and it's reflect as such on the stress score. If you have the stress score set to identify 70% of config limits, it wouldn't be stressed. Now, let's say you're running 500 VMs on that same host.. obviously that is over 70% and that'd be called out at STRESS (RISK). I always check this option, as you obviously don't want to go over supportability max's even if it is sometimes unlikely.
