Running a windows XP VM on VMware

Hello!

Have a question for you-I have a Windows Virtual Machine that runs XP ( bit old hat I know but it's the only one that runs our HMI software without crashing). I have access to VMware Workstation 9 & 10-can either of these programs run the XP VM or do I have to stick with my current setup of various players?

Thanks for reading

Graeme

Depending of workload size the recommendation is to run on vSphere ESXi, but if your Windows XP is not a heavy loaded system, you can run it com VMware Workstation, take a look how to convert a physical Windows machine to a VM: VMware KB: Converting physical machines to virtual machines using VMware Workstation for Windows

I run Windows XP  as a VM in VMware Workstation 10 without any issue.
