Using Cloudera

I'm trying to get BDE to work with Cloudera.

I'm using BDE version 2.2

Does anyone know of any documentation that takes you step-by-step to get Cloudera working with BDE?

Thanks

Jim

In BDE 2.1+, you have two ways to use Cloudera in BDE:

1) Create CDH cluster via local/official CDH yum repo (Cloudera Manager is not needed). This is described in previous comment by @VMTOCloud

2) Use BDE's cloudera app manager to create cluster in Cloudera Manager. This is described on

Cloudera Manager and Ambari Manager Integration (Application Managers)

In BDE 2.1+, you can create Hadoop clusters through the Big Data Extensions GUI in the vSphere Web Client (or you can use the CLI if you like) and BDE will now call the Cloudera Manager or Ambari Blueprint APIs to perform the Hadoop software installation for you, after cloning and configuring the appropriate virtual machines.
