AMD Firepro S9000 with Horizon View 6.1

Hi,

we are using sVGA with an AMD Firepro S9000 graphic card, which works pretty good. with Horizon View 5.3.

Has anybody tried that Card with Horizon View 6.1 ?

I know, it's currently not supported.

Does anybody know if AMD will support Horizon View 6.1?

And if AMD is working on vDGA and vGPU?

PS: It's not easy to get in touch with AMD

Maybe it would be a better choice to get a NVIDA K1 or K2 Card.

Kind regards

Hans-Peter

Depends on what you mean by not supported - View 6.1 continues to fully support vSphere 5.5 for backwards compatibility so you can use it and keep the AMD vSGA support while trying out the other new features that View 6 gives you (check the compatibility matrix for exact versions at http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=vsga). I'm afraid I don't know the answer with regards to vSphere 6.0 support of the Firepro 9000, hopefully someone else can expand on that.
